Exericse Mat: Pilates and Inner Thigh

in Pilates and the Exercise Mat

The exercise mat is a must for those who practice Pilates.  The inner thigh is about as hard to firm up as the tricep.  We seem to have mastered many exercises for our legs, even the areas plagued by cellulite.  Yet, for all the work we do to firm up our calves and our outer thighs, even flabby buttocks, the inner thighs seem to elude the benefits.

A Pilates Exercise Mat is a Pilates practioners best friend.  Many, in fact most Pilates exercises are performed on an exercise mat on the floor.  Floor work spreads the balance of weight and decreases stress on many joints while allowing for a perfect workout.  Those who practice Pilates not only find the time they spend on their mats beneficial to their physical conditioning but also a great stress relief.

With an exercise mat and a bit of will power, the inner thighs can become quite taut.  It would be totally unfair to say that the inner thigh does not benefit at all from our other exercises.  The whole body benefits from exercise in some small way even if we target one area or another.

The Pilates exercise mat and a floor regimen is one of the best ways to develop a shapely inner thigh and to stop the jello jiggle when we walk.

As seen below, the exercise mat and Pilates go hand in hand --- well, thigh to thigh in this case.
